Spotify is to be released for Windows 7.5 handsets, it has been confirmed.
Microsoft has announced that the music streaming service will be available for the smartphone as a free downloadable app, reports winrumors.
However, in order to take advantage of the software, users will need to hold a premium Spotify account which costs £10 per month. Subscribers have access to unlimited streaming, and can build playlists as well as listen to their music offline.
The Windows 7 app is expected to be similar to its Android and iOS counterparts, allowing customers to play their music while using other applications. It is compatible with Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) devices.
Spotify is currently available across a host of mobile platforms, but there is yet to be an announcement regarding a BlackBerry edition.
The Windows Phone edition debuts on the App Market today.
