Video: 35ft robot snake meets giant spider-car

Let me introduce you to the Titanoboa - a 35ft robotic snake built in East Vancouver in Canada.
And check out the Mondo Spider, a 1,700lb steel arachnid contraption which acts as an unusual mode of transport:

Mashable reports that the team behind the snake intend to make the Titanoboa 50 feet long by next year. They're also planning a "more polished-looking skin, and if all goes well, [it will] be able to move underwater".

The Titanboa is named after a prehistoric species of snake that lived around 60 million years ago. From discovered fossils, researchers concluded that the reptile's maximum length was between 40 and 50 feet.

As for the Mondo Spider, the creators have dubbed it the "world's first walking electric vehicle".
